Romantic, Winter & Ski Stays

THE INN AT KENT FALLS is the perfect Family and Romantic Winter Vacation Destination.
Our spectacular fall foliage has passed and the last leaf has fallen.
This means that the traffic is gone and that you can enjoy the Inn and its surroundings at a leisurely pace with fewer crowds.
With the change of seasons a ray of light shines as we approach the holidays and New Year. Kent still offers plenty to do and see with a host of
fabulous shops, gallery openings and the best winter views of the Litchfield Hills. As you think of gift giving this year please be sure to notice that the Inn has gift certificates and remember that the shops in Kent are known for their excellent service and creative and complimentary gift wrapping.

We are pleased to present our New Winter Special at the Inn at Kent Falls, in addition to our Winter Explorer and Rejuvenation packages. The Inn is also expanding our offer of Specialized Retreats that will cater to small businesses, families or other groups focusing on reunions, business meetings, yoga/pilates retreats and the natural resources of the area such as group-led hiking, skiing, canoeing or biking. Another favorite of mine is taking advantage of the cross country ski trails near the Inn and either snowshoeing or skiing amongst thousands of acres of protected land and forest. Back Country Outfitters can outfit you in the rental gear that you will need. In addition to skiing there are my favorite winter hikes. Explore the thousands of acres of protected land at Kent Falls, Pond Mountain and Macedonia Brook State Forest, all within minutes from the inn.

In 1947, Skiing Hall of Fame member, Walt Schoenknecht, created Mohawk Mountain Ski Area amidst the beauty of the Southern Berkshire Mountain. The following winter he invented snowmaking, which is currently used at winter resorts throughout the world. Mohawk Mountain has remained a family business and a favorite destination for succeeding generations of families. Mohawk Mountain Ski Area is a private corporation working in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection at Mohawk State Park. Mohawk State Forest has cross-country trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing at the top of the mountain but are not maintained or connected with the Ski Area. Access is obtained off of Rt. 4 in Cornwall CT.
