Jan Sarala Troy


Jan Sarala Troy, Certified Anusara Instructor; MA; RYT-500; has been a student of yoga for over 30 years. She graduated from the Iyengar Teacher Training Institute in 1980 and studied intensively with BKS Iyengar in Pune, India. She teaches public classes in Kent, Cornwall, West Cornwall, Washington and Goshen, Connecticut and teaches workshops. She has a Private Yoga practice throughout the Tri-State area and offers Private Yoga Therapy for people with pain and injury. She welcomes and respects the highly therapeutic and incredibly heart-felt aspect of the Anusara method and loves to share that with her students.

Pre-booked Private Sessions by Instructors Jan Troy or Alina Murray, (and normally scheduled Classes & Workshops) are conducted in a new & stunning, Asian-style barn in the center of Kent that also houses a wholistic health food store. Sessions can be as long or as short as you wish. $125.00 the hour.

Alina Hernandez

With a background in dance, Alina Hernandez began her career with the American Ballet Theater. After 12 years with ABT, she joined the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera. Throughout her years in dance she has explored ways to deal with the wear and tear on her body. In NYC she studied Iyengar, Bikram, Jivamukti, and Kundalini. She has studied all these practices and developed a simple & clear way to teach yoga. Heal your body, help prevent injuries, and learn this simple approach to develop strength, flexibility, balance and concentration, all of which, greatly assist in coping with the challenges of everyday life.
