Jan Sarala Troy

 


Jan Sarala Troy, Certified Anusara Instructor; MA; RYT-500; has been a student of yoga for over 30 years. She graduated from the Iyengar Teacher Training Institute in 1980 and studied intensively with BKS Iyengar in Pune, India. She teaches public classes in Kent, Cornwall, West Cornwall, Washington and Goshen, Connecticut and teaches workshops. She has a Private Yoga practice throughout the Tri-State area and offers Private Yoga Therapy for people with pain and injury. She welcomes and respects the highly therapeutic and incredibly heart-felt aspect of the Anusara method and loves to share that with her students.

Pre-booked Private Sessions by Instructors Jan Troy or Alina Murray, (and normally scheduled Classes & Workshops) are conducted in a new & stunning, Asian-style barn in the center of Kent that also houses a wholistic health food store.

All of us at one time or another would love to have a little one on one time with your yoga teacher. Maybe you'd like a little extra help with your alignment or to better understand exactly how a pose should be done. Maybe you are ready to take your practice to the next level and feel you just need a little extra help.

Maybe you'd like to get your spouse or your mom or your best friend started and you know they would feel more comfortable with in a private class the first time out.Or maybe you are recovering from an injury, illness or surgery and would like some private class time to address your situation individually.

Whatever your reason, you can make arrangements for private or semi-private session with Alina. Sessions run between 60 and 90 minutes and range in price from $60 to $125 depending on the teacher and what you would like to accomplish.

INSTRUCTOR:

Alina Hernandez

Alina Hernandez is a certified teacher with Yoga Alliance (R.Y.T.). She has been teacher certified by renowned instructor Rodney Yee, by Richard Rozen, contributing editor for Yoga Journal, and Jimamukti trained Collen Saidmain. Alina’s training also includes work with DrJamie Naughright, athletic trainer for professional athletes and dynamic anatomy teacher. As well as Anatomy workshops at the Iyengar Institute in NYC. She is featured in the Mayo clinic videos for therapeutic yoga. Alina has a background in dance, she began her career with American Ballet Theatre. After 12 years with ABT she joined the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera.
